How Insurance Works at Our Practice

We accept dental insurance and work exclusively with PPO plans. We do not accept HMO or EPO plans, Medicaid, or standard Medicare. We do accept Medicare Advantage plans, and the difference between these types of coverage matters when it comes to your smile.

Medicare’s own coverage guidelines explain that Original Medicare does not cover most dental services, including routine cleanings, fillings, tooth extractions, dentures, and implants. Dental benefits under a Medicare Advantage plan vary from one plan to the next, so we recommend bringing your plan information to your first appointment. That way, our team can review what your coverage includes before treatment begins.

Insurance Plans We Work With

We are in network with several PPO carriers, and network participation can differ between our two dentists. Coverage also varies by the specific plan you carry, so we encourage you to ask our team about your benefits before your visit.

In Network With Dr. Gold

Dr. Gold is also in network with MetLife. As a prosthodontist, he focuses on restoring function, health, and confidence through treatments such as crowns, bridges, and dental implants, so MetLife members can use their in-network benefits for this level of care.

In Network With Dr. Villagran

Dr. Villagran is also in network with Guardian, Principal, and United Concordia. Members of these plans can use their in-network benefits for general and preventive care with her, including exams, cleanings, and fillings.

Out-of-Network Benefits We Help You Maximize

Choosing a dentist outside your network does not mean giving up your benefits. We work with Delta Dental, Aetna, and MetLife (for care with Dr. Villagran) to help you make the most of your out-of-network coverage. Many patients with Delta Dental continue to choose our practice because they value the care they receive here, regardless of network status.

The billing process depends on your carrier. With Delta Dental, you pay for treatment at the time of your visit while our office handles the billing, and if Delta Dental sends payment to our office, we reimburse you. With Aetna, our team estimates what your insurance is expected to pay, and you pay the difference between our fee and that estimate.

If your carrier is not listed here, please do not assume we cannot help. Reach out to our team to talk through how your benefits may apply to your care.

Payment Options

For your convenience we accept cash, personal checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and financing (LendingClub/CareCredit). We deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients, therefore payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance. If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us at 561-782-4865. Many times, a simple telephone call will clear up any misunderstandings. We also offer in-house membership plans and have available offers for patients who do not have dental insurance

Please remember you are fully responsible for all fees charged by this office regardless of your insurance coverage.

We will send you a monthly statement. Most insurance companies will respond within four to six weeks. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect your insurance payment within that time frame. Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is your responsibility. Your prompt remittance is appreciated. We can make arrangements for a monthly payment plan but this must be done prior to the actual procedure.
